1.5-inch v. 1.75-inch belt width: Does extra 0.25-inch make a difference for CCWing?

Have been using a double layered 1.75 from The Beltman for a year or so. I carry a heavy(ish) all steel CZ75 Compact with a TTGunleather Slim XC. Works very well. Great belt and awesome customer interaction. I wear Wranglers and Dickies shorts so loops are not an issue.

Tips for a new CCW holder?

This is some excellent information and advice, much appreciated as I patiently wait for my CCL from the state of Illinois. Been wearing my rig in the house for a month or so. Hanks 1.75 belt. TT Gunleather XC Slim. CZ75 Compact. Heavyish pistol, yes, don't like plastic. Again, thanks for the...

    CZ 75 compact accuracy issue

By the way, the test target is for function and not true accuracy.

    My Model 39

Thanks for all of the nice comments. Yeah, when I took her home and cleaned her up I was a happy man. Alloy frame, made in 1965ish from what I have been told. No box or anything other than the one magazine. I also have a very nice 539, box, papers, tools. Lucky gun show, "nobody likes Smith metal...

    My Model 39

Happened on this Model 39 at my LGS late last year. Sadly sitting on a shelf among all the same looking black plastic handguns. She was filthy and the barrel had the slightest bit of rust. Cleaned up really well. Traded a decent Yugo SKS. Think I did okay.

U.S. Air Force retires the last of its S&W Model 15 revolvers

Way back in 86-87 I was an SP in the armory at VAFB in CA. I was lucky enough to get the two man detail to transport all of our obsolete .38's to Camp Pendleton in SD. Imagine two guys, in an AF truck, loaded AR's and boxes of soon to be decommissioned revolvers roaming the Cali highways now...

    1953 Combat Masterpiece

Finally ordered a hammer nose and rivet from Jack First. Very nice part and got it in 4 days. Never worked on a revolver before, but with a good utube vid it was not hard to remove the hammer and do the job the correct way. I am impressed as to how nice Smith made these guns, the guts were...

    1953 Combat Masterpiece

Great video, much appreciated. I have done home smithing on CZ's and 1911's, this is my first wheel gun in over a decade. Should be fun. Good info on the grips. Thanks again.

    1953 Combat Masterpiece

Sorry, my bad. I forgot to say the hammer nose and rivet were removed by or for the original owner of my gun. That is why she needs a new one.

    1953 Combat Masterpiece

Former owner, no longer with us, Korean vet, POW, 30+years as an officer. I will not question anything. Needs a new nose. That is all I know.

    1953 Combat Masterpiece

First, thanks to all for helping me identify exactly what I have. The more I look at and handle this gem I fear my love of semis will diminish. What a gun. And I have yet to shoot her. I doubt more than 150 rnds have been shot in this gun. Couple of ?. I need a new hammer nose, any thoughts on...
