Which S&W Revolver Do You Carry Most?

    When I carry a revolver, it's either a M&P 340 or a 3" Model 65. Both are typically carried AIWB.

    WTS:357 mag, TRR8, 340 m&p, model 65 and accessories +ammo

I'll take the S&W 327 TRR8 $1075 (factory grips, box and three moon clips) if still available. PM to follow.

    Home Defense--3" k frame or 4" j frame??

I'm a recent 3" K-Frame convert. As tricky as they are to find, I imagine an 4" J-Frame would be that much more difficult! I've never seen one in the wild. My girlfriend much prefers the Ruger SP-101. She credits the size of the grip and extra weight in helping mitigate recoil.

Revolver 101 Questions - need help

I'm pro Crimson Trace for my M&P 340. In fact, I have a set on a couple of other handguns. I wouldn't stand a chance of getting a descent sight picture if my glasses were to be knocked off during a scuffle. Just another tool in the toolbox should the need arise.

Holes & Locks and now Skinny Grips?

My 22-4 stocks are super skinny and uncomfortable. I ordered some Ahrends to remedy. Sure is taking a spell though. I might look for a T-Grip in the mean time.

    625 JM

I picked up a used 4" 625JM with lock for $500 a couple of years ago. I didn't even care about the lock or MIM parts at that price. I couldn't be happier. She's a hoot to shoot. FnB

Loading Moon Clips and the 625 JM

Taroman hit the nail on the head. I've been extremely satistied with the moon clip tool. Works great for my .45 ACP revolvers and L-Comp. That BMT product does look interesting though. For range use, I typically throw some RIMZ in my shooting bag for the 625 JM and 22-4. Super convenient...

    N frame vs the L

From an aesthetic and balance standpoint, I like my frames to grow as my barrel does. I think a 2" J-frame, 3" K-frame, 4" L-frame, and 5" N-frames are the cat's pajamas. I don't get too worked up over P&R, MIM parts, or the lock. I prefer balance and pointability combined with price and...

Did I really need another 3" K frame?

A 3" Model 13 for $300? I must not be living right. You did the only sensible thing.

    M&P 340 j-frame w/ Speedloaders

I've used Jet Loaders with excellent results. They're taller than the HKS, similar to my Safariland. I have a Crimson Trace at the moment, but I don't recall any issues with the stock grip on my M&P 340.

S&W 625 JM FRont Sight Job

Wow! This answered the EXACT same question I have. The brass bead on the JM is nice, but odd light sources seem to play havoc with my sight alignment and picture. Now I need to find a nice red ramp like my 686 SSR has. Thanks for the info. Cheers , FnB

    Model 19 ID help

I feel like a heel for asking, but I'm eyeballing a well used 4" Model 19 and am trying to figure out what dash model she might be. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get my grubby little hands on it yet! It looks like a P&R 4-screw, but the pics aren't too good. The serial number is...

    686 ssr

I've had one for awhile now (11/07) and I love it. The trigger is not as nice as my PCs, but seems to be better than the average bear. She was my first L-frame and now I'm a believer. I especially like the grips, they feel a lot like my 625JM. I couldn't be more happy with her.
