How do you carry your shield/EDC?

Shield 9 in a StealthGear ONX IWB. A very comfortable and breathable holster. When I pocket carry I use an Alabama holster. It carries nicely in a pair of my pleated Hagars I where at work and home.

    fiber optic front sight??

My wife just put TruGlo's FOs on her Glock 43, and they look great! We did have a gunsmith install them so they are guaranteed not to come out. And they laser bore sighted them for her as well. I liked the look of them so well, I've just ordered a set for my Shield, and I may do the same for...

Looking for a hand gun for my wife...suggestions wanted

My wife was in the market since last spring for a concealed carry gun, but also one not so small that she would be stuck at the 7 yard line all the time. She is a true competitor, and wants to stay with us guys when we move out to 10 yards, or even 25. She has tried all of my M&Ps and my...

    New M&P 9MM Shield Owner

Welcome from Washington State. I love my Shield and I carry mine in a Stealthgear ONYX, which happens to be the most comfortable IWB I have bought yet – and very well made. And I’m one of those who has an unused holster bin like mentioned above. I found immediately that the Shield shoots like...

    EDC for the wife??

My wife is looking for her first handgun. She wants something that is concealable yet also a good range gun so she is not stuck at the 7 yard line. She is a born competitor, and does not want to be outdone by me showing her my 15 or 25 yard target. So she has ruled out a .380. She loved the...

    Question to shield owners

For me pocket carry with the Shield has never been a problem. It disappears nicely in an Alabama Holster and my everyday pleated Hagars. I normally carry the Shield IWB with a shirt not tucked in, but when I am not dressed that casual, it does pocket carry nicely. I also rotate carry a XDs and...

    Today's Seattle Oil-Rig Protests

Ironic isn't it? The plastic kayaks, life vest, oars, cameras recording their protest, and the TV's showing this as news- all products that would not exists if it wasn't for oil. Not to mention the mode of travel they all took.

How Good is Your English? (Beware! Quiz Inside!)

My 3rd grade teacher, Old-lady Wilson, who threatened me time and time again about "flunking" and "summer school", would be rolling in her grave to learn I just got an A+ in English.

    Today's Seattle Oil-Rig Protests

Funny how the Drill that works, is "evil", and the city leaders battled the Port authorities to ban it. Yet the Drill that doesn't work "Bertha" (you WA folks know what I'm talking about) is celebrated by the city leaders, and if they could build a statue of it they would. Bertha is a large...

DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DEATH ?

You said keep the theological sermons out of it, so let me just say I know where I'm going, so on that part I say "death where is your sting". But for those I leave behind, I'm terrified. So I keep my life insurance paid up so that I leave my wife and kids none of my dept. My heart would break...

DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DEATH ?

I'm not afraid to die - as long as I'm not there when it happens.

    My Shield.....

The Shield really does shoot like a much bigger gun. This is from my very first magazine. It took nearly a year before I could shoot my XDs in a group like this.

    Glock 43 or Shield 9mm!!!

When it comes to a 9mm, smaller is not always better. For me the Shield coming in at a couple of ounces heavier than the G43 is the perfect single stack 9. The G43 I think would be a bit more snappy. Even Hickok45, the Glock lover he is during his review of the G43 said his trigger finger was...

    what is your favorite M&P?

I would have to limit the questions to handguns only, because the M&P 15T would win every time - but if I had to select my favorite (including my XDs, XDm and LCP), it would be the Shield 9. Main reason is its the one I prefer to carry, and in the self defense range of 10 yards or less, it...

New member with a Shield 9.

Congrats on the new Shield. I've had one for just over a month, and I love it. Do give the gun a chance before considering changing sights. Often there is a break-in period for the gun and shooter. These are very capable of shooting like a much larger gun between the 7 and 15 yards, and I've...
