    Thanks all for the info all. Just still puzzled why the replacement barrel has the P proof on it. Why would it not be safe to fire without the front lug? I know Colt never had them on their Comando model for example?

    Yes there is rifling in the barrel... and as noted it does have a P proof mark on the bottom but not the serial number.

    Thanks, really have no idea at all and that could be it, odd though as the stamp is on there twice and sorta looks like an after thought as it is centered on the one I show in the pic but is about 3/4 of a stamp on the edge of the holster too.
