I just purchased 2-45 SS Kimber mags to use in my S&W 1911 108282, the guy at the gun shop told me that they will work with my S&W. Can anyone verify that from first hand experience. Thanks.

The S&W 1911 45 auto 108282 is a fine pistol, I have one, and I never ever make a bad choice. Well, at least not when it comes to buying guns. Regarding your shooting, you said that you never fired a 45 before, problem identified, you are probably anticipating the recoil, stop that.

I would like to know if anyone ever changed the fixed factory rear sight to a fully asjustable sight on their S&W 1911 45 auto - 108282. If yes, what sight was used? who makes it? where can I buy it?. Knowing that I would be hard pressed to find one that just drops into the factory dovetail cut...

Can you tell me what the specs are on the rear duck-tail cut of the S&W 1911 model 108282?, i'm asking because STI makes a Novak cut fully adjustable rear sight, that will fit the 65 degree by .495 rear cut.

Looking to replace the factory fixed rear sights on my S&W 1911 model 108282 45acp pistol. Does anyone know who makes and or sells a fully adjustable rear sight that will fit this pistol? Any help would be welcome, thank you all in advance.

My pistol is too new to tell, only 100 rounds fired so far, time will tell I guess. Love the pistol, so far no issues.
