Would You Ever Swap Out your "J" for One of the Small Autos?

I love the little J's and do carry out one of several when out of state. I have several semi autos that I carry during the winter, then have a J on my ankle in a sheep's skin as well. I have never had a failure to fire in many, many thousands of rounds with a J.

    Value of 1960 K-17 22LR no dash

I almost bought a 17 no dash from a private party about a year ago Upon inspection the cylinder had marks from excessive dry firing. The marks were on the top center of the cylinder.. The seller said that he sat in front of the TV, DRY FIRING the gun for hours on end. He said that I should "take...

Grips for L Frame, Round Butt

These do work on both the round and the square butts. I have several sets of these and they all seem to fit well. I strip and re stain then apply many coats of lacquer, with sanding between each coat. Finally wet color sanding with 2000 grit, then polishing to a bright gloss.

    S&W M29 44magnum owners?

I have a 629 Classic in 8 3/8" SS. I have not shot it yet as I haven't had the time when my health will allow me to do so. I need to get my daughter Katie to shoot it. Last time we went to the range she ran a box of 50, full boat 240gr through my SS 6" Super Red Hawk. I bought 629 because I love...

    325PD Cleaning and Lubrication

I have used Hoppes #9 for most of my life. I do know that is not recommended for nickel finishes on firearms. It will wick under the nickel coating and cause it to corrode and eventually flake off. I have a few Scandium pieces and have used #9 on them with no apparent problems. I have recently...

    Just picked up a M&P R8

I love my R8. I have both rails mounted, red dot pointer on the bottom, and sometimes a red dot scope on the top. Most of the time I use the stock sights which work with the top rail installed. I think it looks bad@$$. I aganozied about spending $1200.00 for a Smith wheel gun but it was worth...

M&p sport vs a PSA build vs DPMS

M&P Sport works for me I have a M&P Sport and it has always been flawless. It has eaten everything I have got my hands on. Fit & finish is good. I am a long time S&W wheel gun fan, I have never seen a S&W revolver that I didn't want to own and I have several. I put a cheap UTG red dot scope on...

    Those humpbacked Bodyguard revolvers...

Guys thanks to all of you that posted pics of your "Humps". I am a lover of "J" frames and have 7 from .22 to .357 and love them all. I will be looking for a "Hump" if I can find one for sale FTF in CA, as it either has to be on the current approved handgun list or face to face here. CA sure...

    New from SoCal

Hi, I am from Southern CA. I have several Smiths, (all wheel guns) a few Rugers and others. I bought my first S&W's in the early 70's a 36 & 37 which I still have. I have gathered several more J frame and several K frames. This looks like a great site and I hope to get to know some of the...
