Question the learned crowd here. These grips are being billed as fitting both the square butt and round butt L frames. The vendor is making them new over seas. Besides the fact that they are knockoffs, will these indeed fit a round butt frame? They appear to be cut for square butt. Maybe the cut will also secure around the round butt too? Thanks

They should work.
Note that the back of the frame is covered. Thats the key.
Grip is located by the pin and screw.
I tried a similar set and found them to be too narrow for my hands.
Greatly prefer the Ahrends Tactical ones.

I have seen grip makers do round to square conversions, just like this one. But I dunno if I would trust someone overseas? JMO.

These do work on both the round and the square butts.
I have several sets of these and they all seem to fit well.
I strip and re stain then apply many coats of lacquer, with sanding between each coat.
Finally wet color sanding with 2000 grit, then polishing to a bright gloss.

You may want to check Altamont. They have some nice grips reasonable priced. I had a set of N square combat grips from Thailand. They look fine, but needed fitting before I could them. Bob

Thanks guys. I knew yall would know the answer. I'll investigate Altamont also.

2nd the Altamont suggestion. Have J frame and 1911 stocks from them. Fit nicely and are good looking too.

Don't want to burst your bubble but do not buy those **** Thailand grips. Go with Altamont, or badger grips which I prefer or even more Culina. Remember you get what you pay for. I learned my lesson a few times buying grips made overseas that were all junk.
