    Loose Flash Suppressor

Hi All: After every few rounds I find the flash suppressor to be loose. No matter how tightly I turn it back, it soon becomes loose again. I am thinking of Locktight Blue, but do not know if the heat will make that ineffective. Any one else have this issue?

    AMMO

Congrats on your new purchase. As to the ammo question, if you look in your owners manual you will see recommended and non-recommended ammo, mostly Remington stuff not recommended. That being said, I have fired 300 plus rounds of Remington Thunderbolt (not recommended by S&W) without much...

    What's the skinny on M&P 15-22?

I have run about 300 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt through mine. I find it dirty and have had several FTFeed that I did not encounter with other "recommended" brands. That being said, with the difficulty in finding 22 LR ammo. if that is what is available, i will use it.

OFFICIAL (IN STOCK) 22LR AMMO THREAD

Gander Mountain in Geneva Illinois has CCI Standard Vel for 4.99 per box, with a limit of one brick. Just went there and bought the brick. A little more than I wanted to pay, but at least it is available.

    Red Dot Scope

Kind of found the answer to my own question. At "CoWitness Explained - by Dimitri With Primary Arms", I found an excellent explanation as to the advantages and disadvantages of both systems. End of day, it seems to come down to personal preference. I am inclined to go with a .83 riser for...

    Red Dot Scope

Thanks for the tip on Primary Arms. I have done a search and there appears to be no real difference between Primary and Bushnell except the price. Looking at the Primary Arms web page, it does not say what height the riser is, i.e., .83 or one inch. Also, I admit that I do not have a good handle...

I am thinking about a Bushnell TRS 25 for my rifle. Does anyone know if I need a riser to go along with the scope?

Reminisces of Old Guy and 15-22

My first rifle was a single shot Glenfield 22. I was ten or eleven years old. Over the next fifty years or so I have participated in and enjoyed all of the shooting sports both for recreation and competition. I hold instructor ratings in multiple disciples and often times am at a loss as to...

    Mounts for Nikon P 22.

Hi All: This is my first post on this forum, although I have lurked for some time. I have just bought a new 15-22 and I am thinking about a P 22 scope. I have had great luck with Nikon over the years and want to stay with them. Does anyone know what Nikon mount should also be ordered with this...
