Discuss the Bodyguard 2.0 thumb safety

I just wish that they would pick a direction. BG, Sig P938, 1911, Kimber Solo, down. P85, PPK, 6906, up. The BG is a pocket carry and is always off due to the trigger pull, as is the 6906 which is always holster carry. The P938 is always on even in the holster being carried cocked and locked...

    6906 paddle holster search

I picked up a Fobus SWMP for my 6906 a while back. Not specifically for that model, but after about a month, still comfortable using it. Looks like the Fobus SWCH is about the same as the SWMP with a retention release.

Ammo report from the San Antonio gun show.

I try to look at the brighter side of life. The panic buyers went out and bought there firearms and bought the 2 or 3 boxes of ammo that will see them through the coming Zombie Apocalypse. The get rich quickers are all stocked up and will be loosing places to sell at the higher prices, so...

    Vintage Guns Drying Up??

Another factor in the older used revolver shortage may be that with all the proposed legislation over scary black guns, semi-auto anything, and capacity limits, 6 shooters have pretty much been left alone and until recently, were priced at a more marketable value for police turn ins or shooter...

Today's Find: Winchester Model 97 (TD)

Please see above posts 10, 27 and 28. If you go to the Winchester Collector site, they have a few threads about how and why sites such as the one you list have inaccurate or incomplete information.

9mm in Stock as low as $29.99

Range rounds are one thing but self defense rounds are something else entirely. Not sure about how others may feel, but if I did not value my life over the cost of proven effective SD rounds, I most likely would not carry a firearm in the first place.

9mm in Stock as low as $29.99

Only $20 more than the last time I bought 9mm. Such a deal!!! And non-reloadable aluminum case. Even better.

    Do I need an AR15?

Never felt a need or want for an AR since I have enough other things that do the same, only differently. It was actually SWMBO that thought we should pick one up, private party, so no paper trail. I now have more than one purchased the same way and while I hope and pray I never need to use it...

    Ammo swap question

Start 500 for 500 and deal from there. If you end up at 500 for 400 and you are good with that, than that is a fair deal. Based on what I see, even though .45 ACP is more even in the best of times, 9mm has a higher demand. And (let the flaming start) 9mm FMJ may be considered marginal for...

    Ammo swap question

I did a swap at a gun show 250 9mm 115gr FMJ Remington range ammo for 200 45 ACP 230gr FMJ Sig and 20 230gr Hornady JHP. Was looking to do 250 for 200, but when I threw it out as a swap start point, the guy didn't bat an eye.

No problem. You will now be able to have a whole new appreciation for the words "slide bite".:p

Today's Find: Winchester Model 97 (TD)

Looking at the Winchester Collectors site, the SN places the date of manufacturing as 1926. Some of the other web sources are not correct or accurate, but that site has direct contact with the museum and the actual official polishing records that date the gun. I have a couple that will never...

    6906 Holster find

Probably would have went with the SG-21 if they had it, but since those models made for it are now longer common, only place to find it would be either a dealer, auction site, or gun show.

    6906 Holster find

Smith & Wesson Holsters - Fobus Works for me, maybe not for others. Also probably not for squared trigger guards, but most of you already know that. Also the barrel does not extend past the end of the holster as the pic shows, but I actually prefer that in my case and after wearing it a...
