I put the extended slide lock on my Auto Ordnance and it solved the " not being able to release the slide issue". It is however, a slide lock and not really a slide release for everyday use. It works well for quick combat reloads but I normally release the slide manually. Just my 2 cents...

If you wanted to stay a lesser expensive Smith...how about a M915? It is a smaller 9mm that is easy to control and has good ergonomics (and it sports decocker). Just my 2 cents.

I agree....make a fair offer. I've done it and the estate was thankful. I spent about two hours going through their other firearms and cataloging their values for them. Remember, my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Motorola XTS3000's I've seen xts3000's on craigslist for $150@. They have freq cut antennas and 5+/- watts. That will cover 3 miles in simplex mode...easily. The li-ion batteries will easily last 8 to 10 hours before charging will be needed.
