How about serial number S119***. before they were model 28. Just stamped Hiway Patrolman, no model number on the gun. I've offered to sell this 98% gun for $1150 but no takers.

How about a Hiway Patrolman that was before they came stamped M28? I got one a few months ago. Ser# 119xxx. Query found that it was made in the first year production, 1954. I ran it for sale on here but got no serious responses.

S&W M-60 from around 1977. Carried as a police officer as backup gun.

A five (5) screw Highway Patrolman before they were called M-28. The serial number puts it in the first year they were made, 1954. This revolver is 6 inch and is in 98% as new condition. Asking $1,150 firm. Delivery face to face in north Alabama. If interested I can send picture.

My duty weapon, Smith & Wesson M&P40, shoots severely low. During qualifications, shooting 180 grain Speer GoldDots at 25 yards, this pistol shoots approx. 12 inches low. I haven't been able to duplicate this error using my reloads of 180 grain FMJ bullets. Does S&W sell taller rear sights...

This is a duty weapon so we cannot alter them as I would any other gun.

Dept. issue weapon is the full size M&P40. Went to qualify this past week. I have always shot high 90% each yearly qual. The shots from this weapon were all very low. Shooting Speer 180 grain Gold Dots. At 25 yards at a Q target my shots were off the paper low. That would be about 12-18...

Problems with ever compact M&P I have bought. Now, my M&P full size 40. After a 50 round shooting session I started to break it down for cleaning and found the strong side (right handed) was broken off even with the edge of the slide. The pistol is still operable but I need 100%...

I have opwned three M&P compact pistols, one 9MM and two 40's. The first two, 9MM & 40 would drop the magazine upon firing about 50% of the time. Bought another 40 two weeks ago. This one the slide will prematurely lock back about 3 times on each magazine. 30% failure rate is unacceptable...
