Oldest gun you carry

I regularly carry revovlers from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Most of my regular carry guns fall on that spectrum. Sometimes carry a 1969 Colt Agent. That's probably the oldest in the carry rotation.

Carried this for a time until I picked up a Colt DS. Shipped in August 1900.

While I was the Town Marshal in my town I dressed up on Halloween in an old west outfit and carried my 4 3/4" 2nd Gen. Colt .45 SA but I backed it up with something else on my person when I did, just in case!

The oldest gun I've carried was a 1948 M&P snub. Also carried a 1950 Detective Special for a while. Currently the oldest gun I regularly carry is a 12-2 snub.

S&W M-60 from around 1977. Carried as a police officer as backup gun.

I have carried this before several times in my pocket. Also have carried it in a leather case. It is a Colt 1903 Hammer in .38 ACP. The .38 ACP is the forerunner of .38 Super. This is 1914 manufacture.

This is how I carry the M1903 Hammer from Post#12 The leather case looks like a bible case that my Grandmother use to carry. Nobody ever looks twice at it. Could even take it to church on Sunday and not get a second look. I have three magazines at my disposal (one in the pistol and two in the case). Works for me.

Offhand, I actually do not know if this is the oldest gun I have carried or not. It was given to me by a friend more than 20 years ago and he had inherited it from an old uncle so it is possible that it goes way back into the 1950s. But maybe not; I have no real clue about its history. I have older guns but I've never carried them - I used to carry this lightweight Cobra in a fanny pack when I jogged or rode my bicycle:

I'm not a lightweight revolver fan but on a bicycle this gun had a certain appeal, especially after I added the Hogue grips. :D

HA!

I take that all back - I used to carry this CZ Duo when I visited my mother in Florida - I left it in her home for that purpose. Made in German occupied Czechoslovakia in 1944.
