Here is one of my oldies....a Triple Lock from 1911. Stocks are real mother of pearl with real Mexican gold coins on both sides.

Nothing as vintage as the previous posters, but I currently EDC a Colt Series 80 Govt Model that I bought new back in the 90s. It was my first 1911. According to the Colt website, it was manufactured in 1993.

I guess I can update my previous post. I've said in other threads that I don't plan on carrying my Series 70 Gold Cup because of sentimental value as I inherited it from my father. Well, for a couple of days this week I've been carrying it while out-and-about. Not planning on making it a regular part of my "carry rotation," but I have to admit it felt nice having my dad's .45 on my hip, like he's still with me, in a way.

According to the Colt website, it was made in 1982. Custom work came later.

Certainly own older hardware, but most of those don't see much belt time.
This one makes for a great woods gun.
M1937 Brazilian, usually used with .45 AR ammo.
It was already Parked when I got it. Holster by a local saddlemaker.

Although just one day I could carry my 1920s vintage .44 hand ejector. A century old but could still stop a carjacker.

You guys are so lucky!! Up here in Canada, the restrictive firearms laws don't allow for ccw permits (well, they do, but God himself has to intervene on your behalf before you get one), so the only handgun I can legally carry for self defense, and only in the bush, is my S&W Mod.3 in .44 Russian. It has to be open carry and I have to ensure I have the RCMP form stating it's an antique and for my own protection, I have a copy of the relevant sections of the firearms act pertaining to antique firearms. Most cops have no clue as to the laws regarding antique status arms. If Biden has his way, your firearms laws will become as stupid and intrusive as ours.

35 years doesn't seem so "old" ...... but I was only 32 when I bought the 3" 65.

I don't have anything older than 1950, but at night when walking Daisy around I had my Model 10-8, I believe from 1988. I carried it open; no way was I gonna try to hide a 4" barrel in my summer attire. I carry a plastic Ruger EC9s 99% of the time. It's light, flat, and has never failed to do anything but fire when I go to the range. Not real accurate after 25 yds., but it's self-defense only.

Back in the early 90's, I carried a government issue M1911A1 quite a bit. Especially in the Hill District.

Came back to the Burgh in 92 from the little Burg on the Susquehanna

Carried Colt 1911s in the late 70s and 80s ..... but transitioned to a W. German Sig 220 in about 89..... tried a 4516.... too heavy for its size (great gun) ..... switched to a 4513 but extra 6rd mags were hard to find....... finally settled on a Sig 245 for my .45 concealed carry needs.

By the way worst winter here in the last 6 or 7

Depends on what you mean by "carry ".

I've packed a lot at various times for various reasons. Plinking for a day? CCW? Showing off?

So to keep it manageable...let's say CCW.

1920s Savage 1917 in 32 acp

They all put holes where you point them.
