Got my long 3/16" allen wrench and removed the grip that came on it and put on a Hogue Monogrip with no issue. Much better feel than the stock grip. Thanks guys.

Yes it appears to be a bolt head instead of a nut. I had to order a 3/16 allen wrench as I don't have one long enough to get to the bolt head.

Looking at it with a flashlight it looks like some kind of allen head screw or torx. Sorry for my ignorance.

Can someone tell me the size of the nut holding the pistol grip on? I have tried several different sockets to no avail.

'64 Plymouth Valiant. It was four years old. I took out the front bench seats and installed some bucket seats that came out of a Corvair. Three on the tree. Good transportation but for a teenager it was not cool.

It looks great polished. I would leave it as it is.

I resurrected an old topic but I asked for help and wanted to comment that it worked for me. I did have to figure out the mag spring had to be pushed up out of the way first. ;)

The owner's manual doesn't give instructions on how to disassemble the mags for cleaning. I assume they aren't intended to be taken apart by the average user. It looks like you would have to damage the magazine to get it apart. If there is a way, I'd like to know it too.
