Picking up my M&P 22 COMPACT tomorrow. I've heard that they are the most reliable 22 auto loaders money can buy. They are fairly accurate. They are well.......Compact. well made. Basically the bomb. However that's just what I heard... :)

Can anyone tell me what the m&p Compact 22 sights are made of? Plastic? Aluminum? Steel?

So you are saying you reassembled it with the guide rod installed incorrectly? The slide stuck to the rear and it was able to release by not moving the slide back any more. As the rear movement is where the binding occurred. Sorry I'm a little slow. Ya the slide release is really tight on...

The 3rd round on the 6 round mag is when the follower comes to the mag catch. It is the the forth on the 7 round mag. It's no coincidence.

So pressings down firmly on the slide release Un stuck the slide from the rear position, and you think it is related to the recoil guide assembly?

The 45 shield needs the up dated followers. Sounds like the follower may be dragging on the magazine catch. Causing the rounds to not come up fast enough to catch the next round. Also causes rounds to nose dive on occasion. The follower update should correct the issue

What can you tell me about them? They seem like a he'll of a 70 series Commander? I carry a Shield 45 or a G32 however this looks interesting.
