Interesting to note how the emphasis is often on "steel case", yet few realize that "bi-metal" FMJ or HP's is Russky code for "thin copper plating over steel bullet jacket"....hence the wear documented in the linked story.

When you have one that was challenging to deprime, but succeeded, check the decapper pin fit to the primer flashhole...something weird could have occurred wher the metal flowed, reducing flashhole diameter. It's happened before!

How much "slop" do you think you have? Brass stretches well (think 223 Ack Imp), and may readily grow back to chamber dimensions. Remotely possible (dependent on how short) to have a case separation?
