I just picked up the 686 SSR that I bought on Gunbroker. The gun looks great except for a couple nicks on the front sight mount. It looks like someone hit it with a punch while installing the hi-viz sight.
The gun has the "frosted" stainless steel finish (not polished). Does anyone have advice...
Very cool about the 4506-1 and seeing the scumbag getting tazed.
That is a beautiful gun, congrats
Several years back I bought a 3906 with adjustable sights at a gun show. It has adjustable sights like yours. It was made in 1990 (square trigger guard), like new condition.
I want to install a HiViz front site on my 617-1. The revolver has a pinned front sight but the HiViz is not pre-drilled.
I appreciate if someone can help me do this correctly:
How do I remove the pin?
What # drill bit do I use for the new sight?
How do I drill the new sight ?
Thanks,
I have the sideplate of my 617 off to install new springs. Should I clean the internals (spray out with Gun Scrubber or something similar) ?
Also, should I lubricate it with a light oil like CLP ?
Or just leave it alone ?
Thanks
