    Possible purchase of a S&W M&P45

Any heads-up I should know about this gun? I'm looking to buy and have found a pretty good price in town, but I've also found a pretty good deal on on a FNP-45. I'm leaning towards the S&W for some of the features and 'cause it's an American company, but the FNH has a hi-cap mag and some similar...

    Identifying a S&W revolver

BillCa - Thanks for all the great info. This forum has been awesome and saved me a lot of time finding info on this gun. I've already shot this gun and it fires great. I've cleaned it, except taking off the grips which will happen soon, and it looks great. Also thanks for the help identifying...

    Identifying a S&W revolver

Yeah, that's the plan with my dad. I'll be seeing him soon, so hopefully the pics will happen sooner than later. And to blairgarber, the NRA membership is on the way.

    Identifying a S&W revolver

I'm glad I've already found so many like minded people on this forum. I definitely want this gun to be around for a long time and it is fun to shoot. Thanks for the recommendation. I was kind of leaning that way, leaving it as is, but was curious. I figured keep it clean and oiled and it should be fine. This is a great forum.

    Identifying a S&W revolver

Thanks for all the help and great info. I'll definitely be doing more research on K frames. I will also be definitely holding on to this gun. Unfortunately my grandpa didn't really talk much about that time in his life and he's fading fast. I'm sure being a detective in Vegas during the 60-70's...

    Identifying a S&W revolver

O.K. I looked and the serial is K541878 and the model is 19-2. I think it was from when my grandpa was a police officer. I'm just curious when it was manufactured and any model specific info I should know about. Thanks for all the help.

    Identifying a S&W revolver

I recently inherited a S&W 357 Mag revolver from my grandfather, but don't know anything about it including model or history. Any help on where to find any info about it would be great. Thanks.
