    Extremely pleased that I can contribute to this thread. Picked up a 28-2 today at the gun show in Mesquite (Dallas) today. Have not looked up date yet in the SWSC #3 but will do later. This one is stamped with a DPS # Serial Number N563577 Gunny

    38spl M&P HE model - now with pics

    finally got around to taking pictures. put about 50 rounds through it yesterday, 3" pattern at 30' after the first 6. Really nice shooter, tight lockup, etc. all numbers match, none inside the stocks. number is different on the yoke as shown in one of the pictures. We may have paid too much...

    Local gun shop called today, he got in a 38 HE model. Went in and took a look see. serial #427268 (S&W standard catalog 3rd lists between '15 and '42, dealer says his info shows '27). around 90% +/-, 6" bbl, what looks to be originial stocks, wants 300. Thoughts? Gunny
