I know that S&W doesn’t do any nickel refinishing any longer, but does anyone know of a company that they would recommend? I understand that could affect the value, but I collect the guns that I like rather than investment value.

I was probably too critical with S&W, but if I buy a Cadillac I don’t expect to send it back for paint issues. That’s what Quality Assurance is for. Right?

I agree. I am one of those people who learns best hands-on. Once you have loaded some straight-wall and bottleneck cartridges you should be good to go. As far as manuals, I have 6 or 7 different ones that I use based on my choice of bullets.

I agree. If you hit what you’re aiming at you don’t need a canon or 15 rounds.
