Smith and Wesson life time warranty and Customer Service experiences .

Hal, I'll bet you a breakfast Cadillac dealers have had customers come back for paint issues more than once. Perfection is a VERY elusive animal rarely seen in the wild. If man can make something it can and will be imperfect at times. When I buy something new of any real expense I expect it to have issues. I am almost never disappointed. My wife calls me anal, but I like the word "perfectionist" better. In my early years I used to lambast a manufacturer for making something that wasn't perfect, but rarely give accolades when it was. These days I follow a reverse strategy and commend a manufacturer when they make something that meets my expectations, but I still let them know if something isn't up to snuff. Too often we forget to tell someone when they done good and only tell them when they screwed up.

I understand what you're saying. Most if not all other new S&W's were fine. By background is computer programming and there is no grey area there. We checked the code, Q.A. Checked the code, and the customers checked the code before the new program or changes were implemented. My point to S&W was that they might want to put more emphasis on Q.A. I do understand the issues though.
