S&W Shield One Piece Guide Rods!

Very interested in this. My disc bent (new one on the way from S&W), so I'll be interested to see how this performs.

    Double feed with new Shield

I can't say I'm pleased with S&W's initial response, which is as follows: Dear Customer, We do not recommend the use of any ammo that is not SAAMI Spec. Please try Federal, Winchester and Remington to mention a few If further assistance is required please reply accordingly. Sincerely, Tom

How much did you pay for your M&P Shield?

    $375 at a dealer in Michigan . . . No safety 9mm.

    Keeping Both Eyes Open

:):):) I'd like to use whatever caliber Hollywood uses, because all the bad guys go flying backwards after being hit by one handgun round.

XP100, you may be on to something. I ran a bunch of Fiocchi 9 through my Walther without issue, but that ammo was purchased about three years ago. This recent batch was purchased the same day that I shot.

Traded my thumb safety Shield for a non thumb safety.

I thought the trigger on my NS model was pretty good out of the box (certainly more than good enough for a defensive carry gun). Zero grit to a bit heavy of a break, but given the short "DA" pull, I kind of like the noticeable "wall". My only complaint is that initially, I find the trigger...

    Double feed with new Shield

I might just do that, as according to S&W, it may take 5 days to get to my e-mail.

Traded my thumb safety Shield for a non thumb safety.

I just bought a new Shield, and I went to buy the safety model, because I didn't think they would have the no safety model. Lo and behold they had both, and it was a choice in the store that I really agonized over. I think they're both great, but I went for the no safety model, and here's why...

    Double feed with new Shield

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I didn't want you guys to think that I was a new member that just posted without researching first. I'm a longtime Walther guy that less than a month ago, bought my first S&W, a no safety Shield in 9mm. Great gun, but here's a copy of the e-mail I just...
