    bow to those who know... ...and after ALL that,reversing that sleeve was all it took.I truly feel like an idiot.Thank you all once again for all your patience,but at least watching the academically challenged was at least amusing,i hope.I will never again NOT try EVERY combination on my own first!

    EXACTLY what my arrangement looks like EXCEPT the collar @ the top of the spring;mine looks like that collar cut in half.

    Ok-center pin is installed with the small spring inside the ejector tube section and the center pin is installed with the "ribbed" end away from the ejector.The collar is installed on top of the large spring with the tapered side inside the spring.When i try to assemble,the yoke is forcing the...

    gas ring help Thank you for the info.The original ring came out a lot easier than i expected,a standard tapered extractor freed it up after a bath in Kroil.Thanks again to all for your help.
