    Light Strikes 9 Pro Series

I also had light strikes but only with Fiocchi. 115 gr to be exact. I think they use a harder primer. I do have an Apex comp striker spring in, but Fiocchi was the only ammo I was having issues with. Cleaning the striker and striker channel fixed the issue for me.

M&P 9 Pro Slide Stop Issue

Edit: Resolved Smith's CS is second to none!

Pics of my new M&P9 M2.0 (with update and new pic)

How's the barrel fit into the slide? And when the pistol is assembled, and you shake it, do you hear rattling? You think the 2.0 has addressed the accuracy issues a lot experienced with the original 9mm design? Thanks for the pics!

    M&P M2.0

Damn, y'all are a harsh crowd. I personally think it looks sexy! But I'm hesitant to buy one without knowing if it's going to have the accuracy issues in 9mm like a lot of the Gen 1 M&P's do. I'm not about to drop another $200 on a M&P because the barrel lock up sucks.

    M&P Pro Front Sight

.180 is correct. However, some people, including myself find that the that height front sight causes a low POI. I went with a .160 tall front sight and it hits where I put the red dot.

    Serious Locking Block Problem

Um, I don't know what the heck the others are looking at, but that does NOT look normal to me. Sure, there will be some minor wear there, but yours looks like a chunk of metal was taken off of it.

    Apex Tactical is amazing

Their CS is second to none. I'll be a customer of theirs for life.

M&P Pro Series, bad trigger & new production

I'd be suspect of this. I handled a completely stock PC 9 and it's stock trigger was noticeably better than my 9Pro's stock trigger. Not as good as a trigger with Apex parts, but definitely better than my stock 9Pro.

M&P Pro Series, bad trigger & new production

My 9 Pro came with the advertised 5.5ish pull. It did have the grit during the pre travel though. But it had a nice crisp reset since it had the upgraded Slide Stop Assembly in it. I put in an Apex sear, comp striker spring, and comp sear spring, and now it pulls at a consistent 3.5 pounds. The...

M&P Pro Series, bad trigger & new production

Sorry, but it's trigger is far superior to other striker fired pistols you've shot? You must not have shot a lot of other SF pistols if you honestly believe that. Both my Pro 40 had an atrocious trigger, and my 9 Pro, while better, was still far from decent. Pick up a PPQ M2 or something...

    Didn't expect a KaBoom today...

All M&P's will fire slightly out of battery. Test it yourself. With an unloaded M&P, pull the slide back slightly, and pull the trigger. The firing pin will drop and seems like it would hit the primer.

Had the slide stops on 2 M&P 40's break, S&W repair turnaround time?

Are you serious? I asked them to send me one as well, and they wouldn't.

Had the slide stops on 2 M&P 40's break, S&W repair turnaround time?

For those that have had their's break as well, instead of sending it back, order the upgraded slide stop from G&R, and install it yourself. You don't need a vice, and it's very easy to do. All you need is a punch to punch the pins out.

How often should I clean my new shield 9mm?

Yes. :) I don't even clean my comp guns that much. M&P's are so damn reliable, that they rarely need cleaning. But my SD guns, yes, they get cleaned often, although not as much as some in this thread.

How often should I clean my new shield 9mm?

I only clean mine if I start having issues, which is very rare. I enjoy shooting much more than cleaning. I've gone thousands of rounds without cleaning my M&P's and only putting a dab of grease on the rails.
