Both WW and Remington had "Hi-Speed" loads in that era and some were issued or even privately purchased by "Gunnies" of the time. Metal Piercing loads were available as well as the the 200 Gr. "Manstopper".

Same here-two guns, same results. Bought three mags-one works, feeding and in/out. The other two feed but are dragging on the drawbar. Keep us posted.

My Dad came home from the 1960 Nationals at Perry with an "X" prefix four digit serial numbered one from the DCM. It was later stolen from one of my brothers.

My guess is you never ate in one at Lackland, Lowry, or Minot in the late 70's!!!

FWIW- Rem . 40XB "Factory Loads" in 3 of mine were: 4895 in a .223 and a 6x47, 3031 in a Swift.

Remington I get great accuracy from Remington bolt guns too, but out of the box 40X's!
