I just shipped my shield to them on Tuesday. It's faster if you request that they email you the shipping label. I received mine in 2 days. I actually received 2 labels since I emailed and called them. One came faster than the other, so I would do both.

I am def kicking myself for not inspecting it more closely. I was more concerned about checking for the safety notice. My g27 is gen2, extracts beautifully. With that said I wouldn't buy another glock just bc I hate the grip. I love sw grips, they're the only ones that fit my hand.

Just got my shield 9. Too bad I had to send it in before I could take a shot for repairs. Indented feed ramp, sights visibly offset to the left.

It seemed like they checked to see if they were defective and were replacing the ones that were. They confirmed that mine was defective.

Cabelas CS is on the ball. Paid for my shield on wed, safety alert on thurs, pickup date is tomorrow (sat) after the 3 day waiting period. They have already been working to receive replacements for affected inventory and I should receive my firearm on time. Didn't have to do a thing.

I was told that this is a drop safety issue, not the lower trigger spring issue people have brought up.

Just spoke w sw rep. He said this affects models dated before 8/19. Said you could either send to sw or find an armorer listed on their website to check your firearm for the warning. This warning has to do with the drop safety function on the firearm. I purchased a shield yesterday at cabelas...
