Crossbreed is a great brand. Galco king tuck is also a good and cheaper option :)

My Summer carry method is a little off-beat, but it works very well for me.
If you read the gun magazines you've seen the ads for the Kramer Confidant shirt holster. It is a mesh shirt with a holster under each arm. I wear my Glock 23 or 27 under my left arm and a spare mag under my right. I leave the top two buttons of my shirt unbuttoned and just reach in to draw. If I'm wearing a suit I leave one button unbuttoned under my tie. If I wear a sweatshirt I just leave a couple unbuttoned under it.
This is VERY comfortable, and works very well. It costs about 60 bucks.
Try it and I'll bet you'll agree.
It also works with a J-Frame revolver.

Lobo Gunleather IWB works well for me. I have one for my Shield and one for my 9c. I carry the Shield In the warmer months and the compact in the cooler months. It is easy to conceal the double stack with a jacket on.

if you want to go real nice, the Comp-Tac Minotaur II is awesome. also a desantis soft tuck or galco summer comfort work for most brands of guns. i use an older Comp-Tac, the original Minotaur almost every day. for my 1911 i use the old Milt Sparks VMII. all of these are IWB of course. not sure how comfy you are IWB...

I have tried IWB and found it a challenge to conceal with my body type (6'2" 195 lbs) especially wearing fitted dress shirts. At 3:30 my dress belt unnaturally protrudes when I tried IWB.

I found the most reasonable method to conceal my Shield is in my right front pocket in a Desantis Nemesis holster cut for the Glock 26.

I really enjoy the reliability of my Shield 9 mm and the fit in my large hands but 24 oz loaded is the one downside to it being an ideal pocket weapon.

In my opinion at 20 oz loaded my Kahr CM9 was great but reliability was not a strength for my Kahr so I sacrificed weight for reliability.

What I would love would be to find a 9 mm with the quality, weight, size and reliability of the Sig 938 in a striker fire weapon.

I loved everything about the Sig 938 as a pocket weapon except the cocked and locked.

I am a freak about safety because I pack hot and I can't see myself with that type of weapon in my pocket.

If anyone knows of s striker fire 9 mm similar in quality, size, weight etc to the Sig 938 please let me know.

I am thinking about buying a Beretta Pico if it is reliable for my pocket but a 380 in my book is a step down.

The front pocket is hard to beat. It goes with any shirt and most pants. The holster is key to breaking up the outline. Don't forget the possibility of tucked 3:30-4:00 or appendix carry. You can openly carry a gun at 4:00 and 75-80% of people will never see it so it works even better concealed. Just be careful not to bend over sharply as this will cause the gun to print. Appendix carry works great depending on the weapon and can be either fast or complicated. Bianchi professional works good for appendix or 3:30 and has shielding material to keep body off of the slide, but is not tuckable. Galco USA is tuckable but has no shielding material to keep slide and body from touching. This is important is summer months. Bianchi's Carry lok is an awesome retention level 2 holster that tucks the gun into the body very well. It makes a fullsize sig p220 disappear on my thin frame.

You should try AIWB with a good AIWB holster.

Phlster access aiwb at 1:00. High quality craftsmanship on a kydex holster.

The 9mm Shield is at its best in a pocket holster. If you are using a belt holster, either IWB or OWB, get a bigger gun.

As to pocket holster, make sure you do not get one that will collapse under the weight of the pistol and ammo. The Uncle Mike's pocket holster is terrible about this. You want one with a broad bottom edge so that the weight of the pistol is not concentrated just in that one spot under the barrel, but instead is spread across the bottom edge of the holster.

I carry my Shield in a Black Point Tac. mini wing IWB. It feels like its not even there. My arm does not rub or hit it when I walk.

Never thought Remora holsters worked. They had a sale and I bought one. It NEVER moves. Best IWB I have ever used.

N82 Tactical for tuckable IWB carry. Works great for me.

1+ on this: I've owned a N82 for several months now and find it relatively comfy.

My only complaint about it and just about all Kydex holsters is their profile; they're somewhat wide, wider than most leather or horsehide holsters, and as such, not compressible. Concealment is therefore slightly more difficult and printing is more noticeable.

I'm using a DeSantis Softuck for IWB, and a Blackhawk #4 for the occasional pocket carry. That's what works for me.

DeSantis Softuck in the AIWB position works good for me for my compact 9mm.

A couple of considerations. If something is "compressible" your probably not going to be able to reholster without taking it out of your pants. You will probably also have inconsistent retention depending on how tight your belt may be that day. The other things are position/depth on waist, and holster type, have a lot to do with how much something prints... if at all.

Here is the width of my kydex/leather hybrid

Desantis Softtuck or Remora with a Wilderness Intructor belt or Galco gunbelt.
