    38 wadcutters

I guess I have to ask some more questions, I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Where are the wrinkles? Case mouth or part way down the case? Are you belling the case enough to allow the bullet to go straight down? Do you have the correct punch for seating the bullet that takes it...

    Primers Not Setting Correctlly

I just took my SDB priming system apart and adjusted EVERYTHING. There are several adjustments but I do not claim to know which one may be causing that issue. Here is where I would start if you desire to jump into it. It is not difficult at all. 1. Remove the priming assembly which consists of...

    Convince Me......Universal Decapper Die

I thought of another use as I was reloading this weekend. If I load a piece of brass, happened to be 9mm this weekend and the brass splits or something goes haywire and I need to remove the good primer, I use my single stage press and a universal decapping die. I usually toss my seconds in a...

    Convince Me......Universal Decapper Die

Years ago I purchased at Mighty Armory universal decapping die for the really hard primers. I don't even remember how many years I have had the thing but I ordered a few extra pins and just a month or so ago, I finally bent one. As stated above, I deprime all of my brass before wet tumbling...

Why the disdain for “rich” people ?

Haven't read all the posts but my 2 cents. First, it is a narrative used by politicians to get us pitted against each other - rich=bad, poor need our money. Secondly, you have define "rich". I know a lot of people would see my savings and declare that I am rich which is not the case, I would...

Durned if I ever saw such hard, tight primers!

Several years ago I purchased a Mighty Armory Universal depriming die and love it. I ordered extra pins with it and only a week ago had to finally replace the first one.

What's the most reliable vehicle you've owned?

Had a 2004 Honda Pilot with 125,000 miles, zero issues. Traded it for an Outback. Have a 2008 Camry we use for our around town car, it now has over 100,000 miles. I did have to put brakes on it and the AC leaked a month ago. I change oil once a year, keep the tires up and drive it.

    Medicare Advantage Plans

I am 71 and checked out both options with two different brokers. I went with staying with Medicare and a Aetna supplemental plan. Here is what I have learned, was told and as usual, things change quickly these days. 1. Making the choice to go Advantage is opting out of Medicare. Advantage is...

    primer pocket crimp removal

That is probably a true statement overall. What it doesn't take into account is: 1. What is a small amount? 2. Was the staking machine set perfectly so as to always move the same amount of brass to secure the primer? 3. Could a weak spot be created in the brass by excessive staking and removing...

    primer pocket crimp removal

My very simple approach to this issue is that I am hesitant to use any tool that removes brass, at any amount. That's just me. The primer pocket is extremely accurate and precise, most of us and our tools are not, especially those that cut. But I have not used all of them so I am making a...

Hearing aids. Prescription VS Over the Counter.

A few more thoughts on all of this. I was "told" there are really not that many manufacturers of HA's in the world. I was also "told" the best were made in Europe but have no evidence of that. Do some deep diving into where the aids you are looking at are coming from and if they have the basic...

VPN's Yea or Nay .... and if Yea, which one?

I use NORD and is the only one I have used. I have upgraded it from the basic package. Customer service is nearly impossible. You will need to figure some things out for yourself. It doesn't use terms that I am familiar with that you are expected to know so you can set things up. You cannot...

Hearing aids. Prescription VS Over the Counter.

I went through this a couple years ago. I took my time and it was still a maze. I did several "trials" at our local Miracle Ear place. I will never go back and I didn't buy anything. They showed me the lower priced aids saying these would work and put some in my ears and I said these are the...

    Primer Question

Thanks for the responses gentlemen. I know two other people who have 627's and both use Federals based on past issues with others. One purchased some Ginex from the other who is a shop owner ironically and he quit using them because of light strikes. He is a machinist by trade and everything...
