What makes it NJ compliant?
Jut got mine last night so I can't answer your question. It's California Compliant until the new law makes them all "assault weapons."
I went to Front Sight, took the CCW class and got Arizona, Florida and Utah. I could do without either Florida or Utah, can't remember which is better. I live in California and am working on that one.
You are correct. The firearm must be unloaded. However, there is much confusion on this point. I even heard it misstated by the instructor of a CCW class. His response was that you won't have any trouble if they are separate.
I am the proud owner of a M&P Sport II "assault rifle," as it is now defined by a new law passed signed by Governor Brown. I was hesitant to buy an AR until they told me I would not be able to any more. I will use it in some upcoming NRA high power matches. I also have a M&P Shield 9mm.
