I would say, based upon your initial thoughts, the BG 2.0 is not for you. One doesn't have to like every gun they see.

In my opinion there is no finer pocket holster than the one made by Alabama Holsters. I have one for each gun. See if you can find one to try.

I have both. I prefer the BG 2.0 over the LCP Max. You must have both in your hand in order to decide what is more comfortable for you. If you get the chance, shoot both and see which you prefer. This is really about you and your choice.

It occurred to me today to start on thread on 'impressions of the BG 2.0 Comp. Now, reading this thread, I have my answer. I cannot believe yet another disappointment.

That's a close-up, defensive handgun (I have a 49 that I love). Given that it's no range gun why would you need a red insert on it? By the way, your first gunsmith did an excellent job.

Caliber?

Saw one for sale today and am inquiring because, with a 10-round magazine, my pinky rests near the floorplate. I'm wondering if the 10-round mag is too small for such an extension for me?

I'm using Hornady Critical Duty ammo BUT in the near future I am going to permanently switch to Speer 95gr TMJ. Seems LAPD did a study for their officers on the most effective ammo for carrying that caliber and that particular Speer configuration won. Good enough for me.

A Sig P365-380 all week.

I have XS.com R3D sights on my Shield and BG 2.0 and find them excellent.

Have not yet had the opportunity to see one yet. I have the Shield PC 2.0 which is a great handgun but don't feel the need to buy this one to replace it - just for the looks.

Have you held the new Shield X?
