FS: Custom S&W CS45 - Sold Pending Funds

Back to the top with a new price. Looking for the S&W guy who can appreciate this for the project it became. Here's what it used to look like before I modified it!

FS: Custom S&W CS45 - Sold Pending Funds

Hi All, I've got to move some of my inventory to pay for a new purchase. This is going to be one of those I regret selling but I just don't carry it anymore. This is a S&W Chief's Special 45 model CS45E which started life as a gently used decocker variant Police trade-in. As I suspected the...

    Help with identifying a K-22

Bill, would you check your front sight height for me? The gun on my bench has a total height above the rib of 0.300" with the blade standing 0.128" above the base. I'm expecting a chance that yours might not to be not quite as tall, but judging by the photos it may be the same. Thanks!

Thanks Cooter! Probably good enough to satisfy the owner's curiosity. He can letter it if he needs something more specific.

    Help with identifying a K-22

Unfortunately it's not mine to shoot. It was loaned to me to clean up as it was crudded up pretty good. There was also some worry as to rust on and in the gun. Other than a few raspberries on the cylinder and under the cylinder latch and what looks like some good pitting under the rear corner of...

    Help with identifying a K-22

Hi All, I've got a really nice 3rd model K-22 on my bench that seems a little outside the envelope of a standard piece. I was hoping for some of you more familiar with these to give me an idea of what this is? I doesn't appear to be a Combat Masterpiece, but it does have a 4" barrel hence my...

My take on the S&W CS45

CMTaylor, Thanks for the compliments, you had me grinning as I had a coworker try and work the same line on me (although he had no other gun to offer). It's been a great gun and has withstood the test of time so far. Looks like it did the day it came off the bench. Engine18, I wear some big...

Is it possible to fit a steel magazine release on a S&W 910?

I made this modification to my CS45 but it requires retrofitting the frame to the original features required to run the plunger that capture the nut/button that threads on to the mag catch. This is because the catch in the 910 is a nylon button that 'snaps' on over a barb. It can't unscrew so it...

    S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

That's a sample from Winchester, not sure how they made it open up. The only thing I can vouch for is that it's a 45ACP Ranger 'T' series.

My take on the S&W CS45

SoCalDep, I'll be the first to admit it's not an easy transformation. The machine work is easy with my jig, but the bending is the b*tch. My first mag required welding both tabs back on, my second mag required one welded back on. I'm hoping my technique is now good and the third will be a...

    9mm 1911. Worth the effort?

You sound a lot like me, I've also got an ME degree and love the machine we call a gun. I've been tinkering with them for a long time. The Fusion stuff actually requires little fitting but then also doesn't have the precision custom fit you'd expect from a top end gun. A good example is the...

My take on the S&W CS45

It is absolutely illegal to tamper with a serial number. Lucky for me the CS45 has it's serial number in three places and three sizes (the one under grip is huge) so there was no way I could get in trouble. All of the original serial numbers were visible after bead blasting and anodize as the...
