    Bodyguard 380 Reliability

S&W didn’t think so, and they returned it with the slide lock working, but with FTF galore that’s seemingly unfixable. My advice is not to question it. Questioning it is how I got myself into this 5 year nightmare.

    Bodyguard 380 Reliability

Update After much back and forth, I finally caved and bought a second bodyguard 380. I ran about 50 rounds through it and it was flawless, except it had the same slide lock issue that my first bodyguard 380 had. Just to check, I ran the new magazine in my old bodyguard and it still had FTF...

    Question for 327 PC Owners

I put a few drops of oil on it, and it seemed to “fix” the issue. I think what’s happening is with a dry hammer, the friction was allowing the hammer to hold further back than it was supposed to, so slight pressure would allow the friction to release and the hammer would fall to where it’s...

    Question for 327 PC Owners

I just noticed today that when cocked for single action, slight pressure on the trigger causes the hammer to click down ever so slightly. Then putting more pressure on the trigger will finally release the hammer fully. Basically pulling the trigger fully in single action in one swift motion...

    Bodyguard 380 Reliability

I appreciate everyone’s feedback. I’ve been searching the vast regions of the internet to figure out if S&W made any rolling changes to the bodyguard 380, and I couldn’t find anything other than the name change and CT laser upgrade in 2014-2015. I’m hoping someone will tell me otherwise though!

    Bodyguard 380 Reliability

I agree with you. I was just hoping S&W may have done some improvements over the years. I would get a LCP II immediately if it came with a manual safety. I like carrying with just a clipdraw, so a manual safety is a must for me. The day they come out with one is the day I put an order in...

    Bodyguard 380 Reliability

Has there been any revisions of the Bodyguard 380 that improved reliability? I bought one nearly a decade ago. At first, I had no issues at all, but after a few years, I started having a slide lock issue. It went back to S&W, and then came back with a mag drop issue. It then went back to S&W...

    What Say You Revolver People?

I have one. I’m surprised by how many negative comments there are on the looks. I think this is one of those that grows on you. It looks awkward at first, but somehow it becomes weirdly beautiful after a while. After watching a few videos on it, I fell in love with it. The video comments were...

Hogue Laser Grips vs Crimson Trace Grips

I also got the LG-350G. I honestly wish they made a green laser in their compact grip. The LG-350G sticks out quite a bit for me. That said, I love how it feels in the hand. It’s molded so well that I like the grip of my j frame more than any other handgun that I own.

Holster recommendation M&P 9mm "EZ" with Laserguard

I got a holster from them recently. It took 2 1/2 months to get it (I received it early Nov). I was pretty upset by the wait too. They didn’t shut down; they’re just taking forever. I would just pretend like you never ordered it, and then you’ll have a surprise a few months later when a...

    Bodyguard 380 Safety

I like having the safety because I like carrying it with just a clipdraw, meaning the trigger is exposed. I believe you could add a safety.. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve taken out the internals several times and it just looks like a spring and a lever, although I wouldn’t do it if...

Which do you own M&P 340 or 340PD?

I bought the M&P 340 because I didn’t want to worry about bullet grains or special cleaning. After a few years, I saw the titanium cylinder on sale, so I swapped it out thinking that I could always reinstall the steel cylinder if I have erosion issues. It made it essentially a PD, but with M&P...

    Higher Capacity Shield...

This logic is infallible. I suppose you got us all there.. except I like a thumb safety...:(

    Higher Capacity Shield...

I agree that the EZ’s were an innovative product that the competition hasn’t answered yet. In fact, I have one. The caution I would give to S&W is to not fall into overconfidence in the marketplace. If they don’t advance with the competition, they will one day be obsolete. Even Glock tried to...

    Higher Capacity Shield...

I believe blockbuster video and Motorola said something similar to this..:p Ok, I don’t know if they actually said that, but the point is the moment manufacturers stop innovating is the moment their product starts to die. You can bet someone is working on an even larger capacity than the P365...
