Last weekend I had an extended range session during my time there I put about 400 rounds of mixed ammo down range through the m+p15. Eley sport cci ar tactical and mini mag. About 16 magazines in all I think my bolt hold open worked 3-4 times and if I remember right that was with the slower...
Don't worry. Mine has the same. Like an arrow head shape stamped into it. Mines been shooting nice and reliable. Well since I changed the extractor to a volsquarten one anyway. I did wonder what it was at first. Nice to see others have it. Just get on and shoot and enjoy
The ends on my rails are rough as well. Doesn't affect function though. Us Brits probably expect a nicely finished one because of the high price we have to pay for these guns.but the high price we have to pay is not smith and Wessons fault. I love my m+p15 but I think they are cheaply made guns.
I had the same problem when I first got mine. Not every 3-4 shots but a couple each mag. I put a volsquarten extractor in mine. Problem solved. No more shell casings crushed by returning bolt
True. There's many guns that mimic the profile. Not many with a T bolt charging handle or bolt release button that work. The more powerful round and chambering I get though. Thanks for reply
It doesn't really matter. Just thought there might be something specific that makes it not a proper AR. I like to think of it as an AR because it's the closest I'm gonna get to one being in the uk. Unless i want one of them straight pull ARs. Which doesn't really do it for me
Why do people insist on not calling the m+p15-22 an AR. I always thought AR stood for a design. A design of rifle. And the m+p 15-22. Certainly has the design. So because our rifle is not gas operated or doesn't fire a larger calibre that's what makes it a non AR ? Or is it because it's polymer...
