PC 627 with 5 inch barrel,if I need more than that I should have called in an airstrike.

I bought a 550B years ago and was completely satisfied with it and the company.I'm retired now and thinking more and more of getting back to reloading.

I believe the " new green " bullet going to our troops is bonded.Supposed to be a big step up from what they have now.If it turns out to be a good light armor piercing bullet look for some changes/restrictions back home as far as " bonded " goes.

I shoot Magtech 158gr in my PC 627.About 25 bucks per 50.Shoot it out to 200yrds and like the gun and ammo very much.

Can I get a wider hammer for a 627 like the one on a 629 ? The piece is perfect to shoot except for the small hammer.

Thanks for the quick reply.I carry the 686 because it comes out smoother and the extra recoil makes it feel good although the 627 is excellent.

I have a Perfomance Ctr 627-5 with a 5 inch barrel and a 686-6 with a 4 inch.Why does the 686 have more recoil shooting the same round ? 1 inch difference in the length can't make that much difference.
