Can anyone shed some light on Product Code 149139? It supposed to be for a 629 3" with an unfluted cyclinder. I don't see it listed in the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson. Thanks.

Does anyone have any information on a PC 629 3", Product Code 170183? The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson describes it as a 3" Wedge/Red Ramp.

Well, I just purchased the aforementioned 686-1. We met half way at $600. Attached are a couple of photos.

Why the rings around the openings? Shouldn't the front of the cylinder be clean and shiny? Not my gun but one I'm considering buying.

Thanks for the advice. All my other Smiths have the box and papers. Even though I'd prefer it to have all the factory goodies, I'm going to be using it as my primary carry gun so it's not really that important.

I came across a 686-1 2 1/2" Distinguished Combat Magnum, Serial# AWP7xxx in pretty much pristine condition. There is no box or paperwork. The seller wants $650. Is that price high or about right? Also, based on the serial number, when was the gun manufactured? Thanks.

I can't seem to get a response from Joe Cebull. I see his last post was on July 2. When I send him an e-mail, I get an Undeliverable Mail message saying "User mailbox exceeds allowed size: [email protected]" A couple of PMs have gone unanswered too.

Product Code 104237. This product code is not listed in the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. Can anyone shed some light on this particular model? Thanks.
