Thank you for all your input. Wow! I new there would be lots of opinions. At least it confirms I'm on the right track.

I have always admired (lusted for) a 1911 in traditional 45 cal. but have never owned one. What would be the best choice? I like the looks of the Springfields, but S&W has some nice looking ones as well. There are so many to choose from..I'm sure you all have some opinions on this.. Thanks

Thanks for the help. The Lee manual shows 180 grain jacketed with a starting load of 5.6 and max of 6.0. Hodgdon shows Berrys 180 grain with a starting load of 6.2 and a max of 6.7. Why the difference?

I believe that is BERB. Isn't that Berry's Plated Bullets?
