    Pawn Shop find.

Stopped in to the local pawn shop just to check if there were any new pistols to look at and came upon a very nice Model 67-1. I got lucky again there today as this fine revolver was priced at just $365 with an OTD price of a bit over $400. I didn't hesitate and 20 minutes later I was on my way...

    Colt Government .380

I have owned a Colt .380 Govt. for many years. It's not the lightweight one, but still is quite comfortable for everyday carry during the summer. I just love this little pistol, it's accurate, reliable and easy to shoot. Only thing I didn't like about it when I got it was the trigger. (It...

Should I even bother to get a .22 magnum cylinder?

I have a Colt New Frontier .22/ .22mag that I've had since the early '80s, with it's 6.5" barrel it shoots .22 mags very accurately. I also have Henry Golden Boy in .22 mag and have alot of 22 mag ammo that I bought years ago before the so-called shortage. IMHO, for 30 bucks get the extra...

    M&P Sport II

Finally got mine out to the range last Sunday for sighting in and some fun. Took it apart and cleaned and lubed it up before going as I always do with any new weapon. My Army training from the late '60's kicked in and I zeroed it at 25 yards. (had to bring up the front post 5 clicks). Then...

    Model 906 Value

I know someone who has a 906 he wants to sell. As far as I know it's in good condition, probably around 85-90%. He's wanting $400 for it, but I'm pretty sure it can be had for less, probably $350..I don't really need another 9mm, but I was wanting to get a "companion" for my 1006. What do...

    M&P Sport II

Whoa, seeing this thread today has got me a little worried. I just got one from my LGS a week ago Friday and haven't had a chance to get to the range with it yet. It looks perfect out of the box and I plan on giving it a good cleaning before I fire it. Got a good deal on 62 grain Federal...

    Which 629?

My personal preference would be a 629-2E or 629-3 or newer as these all have the endurance package and if you plan on shooting hot handloads you definitely want the endurance package. I have a 629-3 "Classic Hunter" and it is a great gun. I prefer the full underlug as it adds weight in the...

PRICE CHECK! S&W 629 Classic Hunter

That's exactly what I did to mine shortly after I got it,,,,same furniture, just a bit lighter in color. I did keep the Hogue's, and I just recently got a set of aftermarket Combats for it, but I need to modify them a bit to get them to fit perfect. Yours looks great! JimZ

PRICE CHECK! S&W 629 Classic Hunter

I wouldn't hesitate another minute if I were you! I have one identical to the one you are looking at and wouldn't even think of letting it go for under a grand! It's the most accurate revolver I have and I don't see it losing any value in the future. Go for it! JimZ

    The Finest, Part 2

I only have a few S&W revolvers, but my favorite by far is the 629-3 Classic Hunter that I picked up from a friend a few years ago. It's super accurate and has the best trigger out of any revolver I have ever fired. Only change I've made to it are the checkered target stocks I put on it a...

what do you guys think of model 13's

Joined the Model 13 club yesterday Dropped by the local Pawn shop yesterday to see if they had anything interesting and lo and behold they had recently got a 13-3 4" in on a trade deal. While not pristine, it looks like it had been carried alot but shot very little. There is holster wear on...
