It is US Property marked-finish is blue and some minor patina
I dont have a picture but based on the info above if the gun is a conservative 75% condition what do you think the value of it is?
I use Gum Out Carburater cleaner. Sometimes you may need to use it and a toothbrush. It works ggod on tihard to reach areas and bores. I always follow up with oil as it removes all residue and oil evenout of the pores in the steels. Take care not to get it on wodd finishes.
I used a dremel tool with a felt wheel and jewelers rouge to polish out scratches that had accumulated on the gun over the years. It took about 20minutes and turned out pretty good (IMHO - LOL)

I have been researching grips for my M686-0. It has a square grip frame. It seems there are very few options for grips ( have the original large target style and rubber pachmayers) I have also noticed that the holsters are limited also.

Thank you for all the feed back. I like the notion of heavy is better. I will load JHP and may some SWC in 158 gr with most likley H110. This should do the trick until I find the means to aquire a 44

I am getting ready to load some ammo for my M686. I have noticed that 125 gr loads group larger and have a differnt point of impact than 158 grain loads. I would like to use 158s for SD and most other target/varmit shooting. Is over penetrationof the 158 load REALLY a problem for SD use?
