This is late 1993 or early 1994. I had not had it long. I was showing it off to my brother and we were doing some shooting and he snapped this pic. Sure wish I had the discipline to be this thin again.

Nice shooter.

My wife has a '72 standard Beetle as a summer toy. They are as hard to get rid of as a S&W. A friend told me a couple weeks ago he has a '66 split window bus he would sell me cheap at his brother house near Anniston, AL which might be down your way. Problem is we are in Michigan so a road trip would be in order to get it. He drove it there and its been parked since 1988.

Revho, Anniston is about an hour to my East. Also home of the ODCMP South Store (the rifle store as my son calls it).

You could make that quite a good road trip. Come get the bus AND hand pick you a Garand.
