I have had the same issue with the 7 rd mag. The 8 rd mag is working perfectly. I have been working with semi-autos for 40 years and this is the first and only mag that this problem has occurred. My experience is with Colt, S&W, Ruger, Walther, and Sigs. Never have I had to slam a mag in any...

Thank you for your responses. I was not sure why it was that way. I qualify at my former PD each year and we have to put it back on safe before we holster after each shooting drill. So I didn't know if I should have it sent back or looked at. Thank you again. Joe

Hello all, I just purchased my M&P Shield 9mm and, although I have had many semi-auto pistols with a safety, I find that the thumb safety is very very stiff. Without shooting the Shield yet, I thought I would poll other Shield owners to see if they had the same experience with safety stiffness...
