Looks like the pickup on the original trigger needs to be fitted. Could also break the edge where it comes in contact with the sear. Use a diamond hone.

The screw head can be recut and reblued. If you want to do it yourself Brownells has the proper file to use to recut your screw notch. Then reblue using any of the cold blue on the market.

If you remove the rear sight the frame is already drilled and tapped for a base. This is on the newer Smith & Wesson's.

I wouldn't worry about it. You need a cupped punch so that you can tap it in without deforming it. It is not going to work loose.
