Swapped hammers on 15-3. Sideplate will not go back on

I believe I have the internals correctly reassembled. But now the side plate will not go back into place. I must not be lining it up correctly. It's not closing on the hand and some of the the pegs.

I appreciate any guidance.

Look at the hammer block where it's on the rebound slide pin. The hammer block needs to be all the way up for the sideplate to fit. In the pictures it's about halfway up. If you hold the butt of the gun up, with the barrel on the table, gravity will help keep the hammer block in place while you get the sideplate seated.
 
Yes, in your first photo the hand is hung up on the frame. It should be all the way forward under the frame.

Start the side plate into position by setting the slot at the upper point of the side plate over the hammer block bar and slide the side plate up the bar to keep the slot aligned on the bar. Then press the plate into place.

I'm looking at your side plate. Why is the hand sitting in the side plate ??? On my model 15, it's attached to the trigger.
