    Found a blue Smith 27-2 4 inch

As I recall, only about 2000 27-2 4 inch models were produced making it the rarest of the m27 barrel lengths. I'm sure there's a thread on here about the rarity of that version. You did great picking up that beauty. I have one and it's my favorite N Frame.

The ultimate 3" picture thread. More three inch madness.

Those are Spegel extended boot grips. I bought them off someone on ebay a few years ago. I love how they feel.

    What's your favorite Smith 9mm.........?

For me it would have to the model 39. Great gun to shoot and the grip is the best of any autoloader I've ever held. 3913 and 6906 would be next in line.

    S&W 1911

They stopped making that model in blued carbon steel, unfortunately. It's now a stainless frame and slide with a melonite finish. I personally prefer the blued steel and I am currently looking for a used one.

    The Ultimate Model 27 Thread!

Nice find NA225! My born on date is in '66 too. I'd love to find a 27 from that year. Closest I've come is my 27-2 6.5" from 1967.

Is there a hangun that fits your hand better than a S&W 39?

No, I've always said the 39 fits my hand better than any gun I've held. They really got it right with that gun.
