My top three aren't my nicest three (well, maybe #2 would be in my "nicest" group), but they are the three that have the most meaning to me.
#1 is my 2.5" 66-2 that belonged to my Dad.
He passed away suddenly at only 63, seven years ago. At the time he passed, he only had three guns - the model 66-2, a nickel S&W model 38, and a Beretta Cheetah. He wanted the 66 to go to me, and the other two guns to my two sons when they were old enough to have them.
My Dad kept the original box and receipt and I was able to find them when I helped his wife go through his things. I have the original magnas, along with a set of Hogues that he had on it. I decided the gun needed something special so I contacted Patrick Grashorn and told him what I was looking for. He sent me these no bark Stags, and I think they add the perfect touch to this special gun.
I don't shoot the gun that often, only when I feel like I need to bring back fond memories of me and him going to the range to spend some time together, wasting ammo.
#2 is my 3.5" pre 27.
This one has only been with me for about 6 months. I turned 50 last July and my Mom wanted to get me something special for my milestone Birthday. She gave me a price range to work with and told me to pick a nice gun! Thanks to a board member here, this was my 50th Birthday present from Mom.
#3 is my 4" Registered Magnum
It's been with me for only three weeks and it's my first Registered Magnum. Nuff said
