Jim I wasnt careful enough to check which mag was in with the lock issue so cant say. So a mag could cause the slide not too lock? I did notice all the new mags, for my Pro and 9c, were extremely stiff spring when first used but getting better now.

Thanks guys, just wanted to check (like the pencil idea) I cleaned my 1911 first and after listening to that dry fire, with its hammer and all, my M&P sound caught me off guard....

Hey guys I field stripped my 9 today after range use and did a test dry after all together. Have rarely done dry fires so couldn't recall sound/feel. It was very light sounding, almost a springy sound, normal? Thanks, John
