Thanks, MSgt G, for the recommendation. sonofthebeach: I have one of our Thunderbird Defenders (IWB/OWB) holsters on hand/ready to ship. It's new, has the anti-sweat/body shield, and is a right hand version. The price is $90 + shipping. We can put either 1.25", 1.5", or 1.75" clips on it...

    Speed strip pouches

I spent 20 years in the military and law enforcement, plus I've been carrying a gun nearly the whole time since I've been retired. So with 30+ years of that, I believe I have a depth of real-life knowledge and experience in that respect. My only goal here is to educate the end user on what...

    Speed strip pouches

True, there may be differences, but the customer needs to be made aware of the truth of the matter. Some holster makers are in this industry and have no clue what they're doing. Methodology changes/evolves over time and to the better. Carrying concealed is a serious business and as holster...

    Speed strip pouches

With respect to holsters cracking because of the use of acrylic sealants and readily absorbing moisture - it's not from that. The holsters crack because they were made from piss poor leather to begin with. A holster that has been made from top quality leather and properly sealed will not crack...

    Holster for women

    Holster cant

Yes, a ~3:00 position would, in most instances, work better with less of a degree of cant than a holster that is positioned farther back on the waistline.

My holsters insides feel like sand paper...

Actually heat causes the leather to contract (shrink) not expand. It extracts some of the natural oils from the leather and this is how you end up with the stiffer pieces. The flesh side (nap, as referred in other posts) can be pre-finished in a number of ways by the tannery. We have our...

    Holster cant

Got any pics exhibiting your theory? I'd especially like to see one where the holster is set at about 4:30/5:00 position with only a 10 degree cant on it and see how the gun is able to be drawn. Thank you.
