    Considering a CSX-E

After market M&P front sights (like M&P Shield) should work on the CSX. I believe the rear sight is proprietary to the CSX.

Mine has a sweet spot where the pin just pops out. It feels like winning a carnival game.

What Have I Done to My Glock?

I have a 43X that I sometimes carry. Soon after I purchased it, I added an APEX flat faced trigger but kept the OEM trigger bar and sear. That kept the trigger pull weight to 5 lbs. while saving my finger from that terrible OEM trigger. I also added a slightly extended slide release and had the...

CSX-E Series lighten the trigger pull.

I have about 400 rounds through my 3.6 E-Series and the trigger pull weight seems to be lightening up a bit. Dry firing has helped a bit as well. I'd say it's just above the 3-pound mark.

CSX E-Series Function Check User Error

I took my CSX E-Series to the range yesterday, came home and cleaned it. It's currently my primary carry pistol. As part of the function check I placed an iTarget laser in the chamber and dry-fired a bunch of times. Then I got distracted by something for a bit and came back to the pistol and put...

When will the CSX-E 12 round magazines with one piece baseplate be available?

The original CSX 12 round magazine comes with a separate insert and baseplate. The CSX-E comes with a single one-piece insert and baseplate. The CSX-E version doesn't wiggle as much as the original. [Edit]: The version I ordered from S&W ended up being the original two-piece version with a blue...

When will the CSX-E 12 round magazines with one piece baseplate be available?

I just ordered a 12-round magazine for my CSX-E and it came with the two-piece baseplate (the insert slides up and down the mag). It seems S&W don't have the new ones available yet, or at least I haven't seen any in the wild.

    In Praise Of A Glock.

I'm relatively new to the firearms world and started carrying five years back. My first carry pistol was a Glock 43X. At first, I carried with an empty chamber but then I had a Pitbull incident that made me realize I wouldn't have been able to fend off the dog, draw the gun and rack the slide...

    CSX Manual Safety Question

I've started using two fingers to lift the lever as well. It works reliable when swiping down with my thumb and has a solid "click". The finish on the frame seems to scratch easily but that doesn't bother me. As @Indynick says, it's just a tool.

    CSX Manual Safety Question

That is strange. The right side of my CSX E shows no signs of wear and can't be pushed up against the slide. I guess there's going to be some slop in the tolerances in an under $600 2011(ish) pistol. Everything else is great. (Trigger, reset, recoil, accuracy, etc.) I'll run it for a while and...

    CSX Manual Safety Question

OK. Thanks. When engaged, the left lever has a bit of wiggle, and it hits the slide while thumbing it up and down. I don't notice any wear on the slide, but it's certainly hitting it. If I press on the lever with my thumb while pushing it up it gets stuck on the slide, and I can't engage it to...

    CSX Manual Safety Question

Maybe you're right, and I should give it some time. It shoots fine and the safety mechanism works. I tend to ride the lever while shooting so that's probably aggravating the wear. Perhaps it's just scratching off the finish. Does your safety lever have a bit of side-to-side play?
