I just bought one on GB for $900. Seller said he bought it new, put about 50 rounds through it, been in the safe ever since. It is a nice gun! It even came with 3 blasting caps in the case !

Good morning, How often do you take the side plate off our revolvers for cleaning and lubing? Or do you? What do you do once the plate Is off? Any other periodic maintainence other then cleaning bore ans cylinder? Thanks! Kurt

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the S&W model 14. I shoot a 6" in BE comp. also regarding ammo, look up Zero Bullets. They have loaded .38 spl ammo at a very reasonable price. I also don't reload...yet. Kurt

So... I bought a 625-6 5" recently. Very nice gun. I'm shooting bullseye with it, along with my 17-4 and 14-4. I'm kinda eyeing a 25-2 in .45ACP to compliment the other two, and shoot BE with. Question is: how different are the grips between the 625 (Hogue), and 25? Weight? For those that have...

I have a 14-3 6", .38 spl. Super revolver. The 929 does look really cool. Otoh $1200 will buy a LOT .38 spl ammo!

Just picked this up at my LGS yesterday. I found it on GB. 625-6. .45 ACP. Seller says he bought it unfired, put less than 200 rounds through it and decided it just wasn't for him. Super clean. Really nice SA and DA trigger. Going to the range on my lunch hour to try it out. RR to follow. Kurt

I think the -6 is still pre lock. I'll know when I pick it up from my FFL. Bought this one on GB.
