NEED?? It has nothing to do with it. I have several Smith&Wesson/Colt 44Mags. Had a chance to buy the 629 MG and jumped on it. Have a 45 ACP MG and have lusted after a 44 Mag for several years. They seem to be kinda hard to find. Those that have them are KEEPING them. Great gun:D
