What are the rarest Smith wheel guns?

Not so much the 3" Model 19. I purchased the the new 3" Model 19 (Carry Comp) and, last I looked, it was still showing up on SW's website..

Remington pays 73 million to Sandy Hook families

I've seen a couple of references to insurance companies paying the $73 million. For example: "The $73m amounts to the full amount of coverage available from Remington's four insurers." Families of Sandy Hook victims settle with Remington - BBC News. So, nobody had any skin in the game except...

    M547 price question?

Timely Thread I just picked up my 3 inch 547 today. I'm bad at estimating percentages but the only thing wrong with the blue is the turn ring. The photos don't really give it justice. I paid $695. P.S. Were these regulated for the 124 grain bullets? I usually shoot 115 gr rounds in my...

    Convertible model 60, 38/9mm/38 super and 9x23

I got real lucky. I stopped by the local money pit yesterday and saw a 3 inch round butt 547. I knew it was an unusual gun but had not realized how unusual until I did some Internet research. I called back this morning and they put it back until I could get there this afternoon and put it in...

    3913

I have 115 gr. Winchester Silvertips loaded right now though I use Gold Dots in several other guns of various calibers. I carry in two holsters: a DeSantis "Tuck This" and this one from RafterS:

    Why so few 27-3s?

My 4-inch Model 27-3 was my first "real" handgun I owned. I don't count the RG I bought when I was a student. I think I've holstered it twice. It has seen the range a bit and worked as my nightstand gun for many years: Funny, I went into my favorite gun store today and they had several Model...

What's happening with the S&W lifetime warranty?

Since Smith and Wesson gives a limited warranty for a year, they would still have to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Ruger, which does not give a warranty, does not have to comply with the Act. One of the key provisions of the Act is that it requires companies to provide an informal...

    Bought my M&P 15T yesterday!

Congratulations on your purchase! As for mags, a lot of people swear by the Magpul Polymer Mags (PMags). They may be a bit hard to find. CProducts makes a mag with an orange, anti-tilt follower (Magpul follower) that is good.

    MP-15 Upper Build

Nice rifle! You asked about optics. Not an expert but this represents perhaps the holy grail of AR optics: http://www.trijicon.com/user/p...k_row=4&categoryID=3 If you don't mind paying more for the optics than the rest of the rifle.

Looking at a new M&P 15, tactical version?

The 15T version has a folding front sight and free floated front quadrail. The 15X has the A2 front sight (birdcage fixed front) and a quadrail which is not free floated. Free floating the front rail is more expensive to install but allows for the mounting of optics on the front rail. If you...

    3913-4013 Frame Size

Thanks for the info. I'll take the cost of a new holster into consideration in deciding whether I want a 4013. It's kinda' borderline now.

    3913-4013 Frame Size

I have a 3913 LS and really like it. I've seen a 4013 on the net and am curious as to whether it has the same size frame (for holster purposes), assuming rounded trigger. Thanks.

    model 38 airweight

I actually carry my Model 38 a fair amount (pocket carry). For general plinking and paper punching, I usually should 158 gr Lead Round Nose or the 148 gr Wadcutters. For carry, the Buffalo Bores are fine.
